China's Central Bank Holds 76.73 Million Ounces of Gold in August, 22nd Straight Month of Purchases

China's central bank reported gold reserves of 76.73 million ounces (approximately 2,386.57 metric tons) at the end of August, up by 650,000 ounces (about 20.22 tons) from the previous month. This marks the 22nd consecutive month of gold purchases by the People's Bank of China.
